MSTR ALEX

FIDDLE

Mstr Alex’s Fiddles accurately  reproduce the form and function of the Medieval fiddles used to restrain misbehaving boys in Medieval Europe.

Each Fiddle is constructed of three layers of 3/4 inch thick furniture grade plywood, and measures 11 inches side to side at its widest point, 24 inches long, not including the steel eyebolts, and 2 ¼ inches thick. The three layers of wood that make up the Fiddle are laminated together with cabinet grade wood screws. The Fiddles are stained and finished with a classic oil finish as is traditional on fine furniture, and are designed to give years of service. The three layers of plywood interlock into an absolutely rigid structure when being worn by the sub, holding his wrists in an immobile position approximately 9 inches away from the neck. See picture below for details on the interlocking system used to lock the two halves of the Fiddle together. The Fiddle weighs approximately 10 pounds. The hinge is built into the Fiddle and uses a ½ inch bolt with locking nut as the pivot point. Another ½ bolt serves to secure the Fiddle in a closed position. Two steel screw eyes are located one at each end of the Fiddle. These steel eyes allow the Master to attach chains to to the Fiddle and secure the sub in many positions. Because of their high quality wood construction, and its 2 ¼ inch thickness at the neck and wrists, the Fiddle is far less likely to cut or otherwise abrade the wrists or neck of a sub. In addition the wrist holes are angled decreasing pressure on the sub’s back and shoulders which and allows the Fiddle to be worn for extended periods of time. Yet the Fiddle is compact enough that, when not in use, it can be stored under a bed or in a closet.

Closing and locking: The Fiddle closes with a 1/2 inch steel bolt which is located in a position where the sub cannot reach it. The bolt can be tightened with a wrench if desired by the Master. For even greater security an additional set of 3/8 holes allow the Fiddle to be locked in place with a long shackle padlock, so the sub cannot be released by anyone other than his Master. Lock must be purchased separately. We test the Fiddle using a Master type long shackle padlock (Not Provided). When the padlock is locked in place the Fiddle is securely locked and it cannot be opened even if both bolts are removed. Thus if you have two subs and are punishing one the other cannot release the other. We believe that Mstr Alex Prangers, Fiddles and Stocks are the most heavy duty and secure stocks available anywhere.
